The Fusion Fashion Fashion Show Challenge was a teen fashion design competition that was held on July 21, 2012 in the Wells Fargo Theatre at ImaginOn. The event was apart of The Fashion Apprentice program and enabled over 20 teen designers to compete for a chance to win 5 apprenticeships with the Children's Theatre of Charlotte. The event was hosted by Miss North Carolina Teen USA and received a lot of sponsors.

The MISS Representation Screening Event was a partnership with ImaginOn and the Girl Voice Network. The event consisted of a screening of Sundance Film and Documentary, MISS Representation. Following the event there was a panel discussion with female community leaders and activists.

A program in recognition of Bullying Awareness Month that focused on educating teens on what to do if they experience bullying first hand. The program was a partnership with The Possibility Project of Charlotte, Teen Health Connection and Our Foundation for Children, Inc.

"The Queen In Me" Teen Seminar was held on March 13, 2010 at ImaginOn in Charlotte, NC. The event was a partnership with Miss NC USA 2010, Make Me A Queen Foundation, Girl Talk Foundation and ImaginOn. Sponsors for the event included Jimmy Johns, Aveda Institute, WPEG Power 98, The H.E.L.P. Project and Merle Norman.

The sole purpose of this seminar was to empower young women to reach their full potential through a series of workshops. During this four hour seminar, teen girls learned beauty tips, participated in thoughtful and meaningful discussion and engaged in an interactive experience where they took away unforgettable memories as well as free prizes.

Take The Stage was Charlotte's first annual teen talent competition presented by the Public Library of Charlotte Mecklenburg County. In constructing this event, teens auditioned at different Library branches across the Charlotte area. The finalist that were selected from these branches then went on to compete in the Grand Finale Event that was held at ImaginOn on August 8, 2009. At the Grand Finale, radio personality Janine Davis hosted the event and the winner was announced at the end of the competition from a panel of judges.

The Hip Hop M.O.V.E (Music Over Violent Entertainment) Takeover was a partnership between ImaginOn and Generation Engage. Sponsors for this event included the Urban League of Charlotte and WPEG Power 98. The event was held on May 30, 2009 and featured small workshops, guest speakers, and a film screening debut. During this four hour event, the radio station Power 98 conducted a live radio feed and teens auditioned to join the summer "MOVE SQUAD" at ImaginOn.

Rock The Mic was a monthly event held at ImaginOn. Teen vocalist, poets and rap artists were given the opportunity to express themselves on the mic in front of their peers. The event is structured as an open mic event and although performers were encouraged to sign up prior to the event, walk-ins were welcomed as well. While working at ImaginOn, I have featured many special events under Rock the Mic, such as "The Cotton Club" during Black History Month. This event has been held consecutively for three years and celebrates and embraces the history of the Harlem Renaissance. The event features free food, teen performances and high school jazz bands. In the most recent event held on February 27, 2013, this year's Cotton Club also featured Celebrity Interviewer and Great Granddaughter of Louis Armstrong, Antriece Mitchell.

FEATURED ADULT EVENTS: 21 and UP

The Nubian Empire was a phenomenal entertainment company that I joined in 2007-2008. The entertainment company targeted young professionals in the Greensboro Triad area and carried out the mission to upscale nightlife by creating events of quality. I was given the position of Creative Executive, and while apart of this group I was able to create innovative and original events that were "theme" centered and were implemented by the ladies in this organization.

Cater To You was an event which consisted of the tag line "Let Us Make You Feel Like Royalty." This event did just that with a hot pink carpet that led guest into the venue, guests were escorted into the event and stepped on a floor of rose petals. Sophisticated jazz dancers with hats and gloves added a spark to the entertainment for the night. The VIP area consisted of a champagne fountain, chocolate covered strawberries and delightful finger food.

The Singles Promenade was an event that targeted singles on Valentines Day. The event consisted of a meet and greet experience like no other. The venue was organized to create an environment socially pleasing to guest and to create magical connections between the "city's sexiest singles."

Juke Joint: An Urban Renaissance Experience, was an event created to target underground artist in the Greensboro community. The event catered to the arts and consisted of live music, vocalist and poets. This event was implemented in Greensboro by the ladies of The Nubian Empire.
