Author, Poet, Spoken Word Artist, Public Speaker, Graphic Designer, Event Planner and Founder/Executive Director of I AM not the MEdia, Inc.
Jimmeka Anderson is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Concentration in Adolescent Development. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC where she is the Founder and Executive Director of I AM not the Media, Inc., a non-profit organization for teens that empowers youth through media literacy. Jimmeka is also a writer, poet, spoken word artist, and public speaker for youth and young adults.
Jimmeka has spent the past eight years educating and inspiring teens in a non-profit setting to try and reach their full potential. In her current position at ImaginOn in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jimmeka serves as a Teen Services Specialist and Event Coordinator where she plans programs and large scale events for the teens in the city of Charlotte.
